A sample gathers all the analytes and conditions at a site during a field trip. The process of sampling may consist of more than one water container, and may involve the use of a meter.
Using the Admin Menu, choose Content > Add content > Water Sample
- Field Trip
Select the date / group combination from the drop-down choices, typically the most recently added Field Trip - Sampling Site
Select the site from the drop-down choices - Sample Time
Enter the approximate time of day the sample was taken - Depth
Record the approximate depth of the water column at which the sample was taken; this information is collected In lieu of flow rate - Colour
Select the appropriate value from the drop-down choices; "N/R" means "not reported"; "None" means "clear, colourless" - Odour
Select the appropriate value from the drop-down choices; "N/R" means "not reported"; "None" means "odourless" - Algae
Enter a description of any algae observed, noting colour, floating/submerged, attachment, texture, ... Enter "N/R" for "not reported", "None" for "no algae". - Remarks
Describe any conditions of the site at time of sampling which might affect the test results, e.g. debris, animals living or dead, ... - Images
Upload any images illustrating conditions at the site during sampling - The Title field can be left blank, and is filled automatically with the text "Sample" when the record is saved
